Their job is to locate these individuals, and other entities, to ensure the intended recipients receive their respective legal documents. These documents are properly referred to as 'process.' The action of a process server, serving papers upon an individual or entity, is known as 'service of process.'
This career is for someone who enjoys driving, and the changing scenery which comes with it. Being a process server means that you will mostly work independently. A process drives across multiple counties to serve legal documents. There are full time process servers, and part time process servers. If you are a person who enjoys driving, this may be a good fit.
